Making your way to the Yamhill Valley
The great thing about the Yamhill Valley is that its away from the big city, a quiet escape from the fast-paced metropolis. To get here, you should consider renting a car.
Here’s some information about regional airports, care rentals and more to make your travel planning a little easier.
McMinnville has a municipal airport, but unless you have a pilot’s license and are charting
your own course, you will need to take a commercial flight to nearby Portland (PDX) or Eugene (EUG).
Portland International Airport - Oregon’s premier airport was ranked by the prestigious Conde’ Nast Traveler as the No. 1 American airport, based on customer satisfaction surveys. This comes as no surprise to us; we fly through PDX and we enjoy coming home.
The airport is approximately 50 miles from downtown McMinnville.

Taking a taxi from a train station or airport is easy. Just pick one up at the cab stand. The

Call the cab companies in advance; they may negotiate a flat rate. When it’s time to go home, most cab companies will pick you up and tell you what your fare is before you leave. Call these companies for a lift.

YC Transit fares are a dollar a ride, with passes available for less. TriMet fares are extra.
